A long ride over the more beautiful valleys of North
Piedmont.
Marginal mountains, wild and morphologically
characteristic of high-
altitude.
Walls modeled by the glaciers,
from the water that here it is abundant as in few other
places, from the man that from centuries it frequents
and the valley and the tops of this segment of Alps he
lives.
We will start from Alpe Veglia, the entrance of “Natural
Parks of Veglia - Devero”. From here we will go to begin
our adventure that will bring us to beautiful plateau
and grassland in altitude.
These places are particular not only for its
uncontaminated nature, also for the life of alpeggio
that to this day survives in harmony with environment
and preserved from age to age their traditions , the
rhythms, and rural activities elsewhere disappeared.
Alpe Sangiatto, Codelago, Crampiolo, all are little
communities that still today produce and live respecting
nature that gives them hospitality.
As we will get in high Formazza Valley the landscape is
going to change considerably.
Rock, snow and glaciers will taking over to forest of
conifer and broad-leaves, up to arrive at the goal of
our trip: the summit of Blinnenhorn, about 3400 m high.
A simple 3000 from which summit you are able to look all
Formazza Valley, Ossola valley and eternal snow of 4000
also: Michabel, Cervino and near and white Weismiess.
We will finish the trekking visiting famous Toce falls
before go back to San Domenico on the bus.
